The Challenge
The Tri-County Royal Arch Chapter, Cryptic Council, and Commandery shared a building but had three separate, poorly maintained web pages scattered across different free hosting platforms. Members were confused about which body was meeting when, and prospective York Rite Masons could not find clear information about the petition process. The bodies wanted a single, unified online presence but needed each body to maintain its distinct identity and have independent content management.
The Solution
I built a unified York Rite website with a shared home page and navigation, plus dedicated sections for each body. Each body has its own color accent, officer directory, and event listings, all within a cohesive design. A combined calendar uses color coding to distinguish events by body, and filtering lets visitors view a single body's schedule. Petition inquiry forms route to the appropriate Recorder based on which body the visitor selects. A festival registration page handles multi-body conferral events with tiered pricing and meal selections.
Outcome & Impact
All three bodies now have a professional, unified presence. Festival registration moved entirely online, reducing administrative workload by an estimated 15 hours per event. The combined site receives three times the traffic of the three separate pages combined, and petition inquiries for the York Rite bodies increased significantly.
